In Greene County district court a judgment was entered April 24 against Zachary Dean Vreeland, 26, of Lytton for a $315 fine after he changed his plea to guilty to a charge of theft- fourth degree. He must also pay a $110.25 surcharge and a $125 Law Enforcement Initiative surcharge. He must pay $300.80 in restitution for his court appointed attorney’s fees and court costs.
Brent Eugene Leon Allen, 34, of Clarinda pleaded not guilty at arraignment to a charge of theft- fourth degree. A trial date was set for June 18.
Cases were initiated as follows: Martin John Tolsdorf, 54, of Grand Junction, possession of a firearm as a felon; Tyler James Smits, 26, of Jefferson, harassment- first degree; Gabrieal Landa, 34, of Worthington, MN, operating while intoxicated- first offense; Justin Jeffrey Baker, 32, of Grand Junction, carrying weapons- knife longer than 5 inches; Matthew James Merical, 25, of Victor, possession of methamphetamine, OWI- second offense, and driving while license revoked; Stacy Stream, 33, of Jefferson, OWI- first offense and child endangerment; and Lauren Marie Verle Schulte, 24, of Jefferson, assault on person in certain occupation.
